A Short Story About ME

The turbulent time in the early 90-s pushed my parents to take a chance and to leave Russia. My father could arrange it to go to Germany because of our Swiss ancestors who emigrated to St. Petersburg in the 18th century. On 21th of May 1993 we left Russia for a better life in the West – as it tuned out it has been the day our life changed completely!
By accident we came to the nicest German city -Hamburg! Hamburg is a north German million-strong harbour city with a very beautiful Alster lake in the center of it! I loved it!
It wasn´t easy to socialize in this new environment and to get on with the northern mentality… It took a lot of time to understand the people and to make friends!
After I got my high school diploma in 2003 I decided to do my studies of Economic Geography at the University of Hamburg, which I`ve finished in 2009.
So that was my short story! See my page for more details about me, my interests and work!
